Basics of computer drafting using AutoCAD (an industry standard program) are taught in this training. The workshop will teach how to use the program while also providing practical examples of how a fire protection designer should set up and execute projects. While the workshop is mostly in 2D, 3D topics will be addressed.

Fire sprinkler design workshops will review the key concepts of the Building/Fire Codes and NFPA 13/13R/13D that are critical for new designers to understand. The workshop spans both theory and practice. Attendees of the workshop will understand how to set up projects, gather necessary information, place sprinklers, route piping, perform calculations, and answer common AHJ questions.

The Plan Review and Inspection workshop is structured similarly to the Designer Training, but specially crafted for fire departments and other AHJs. During the workshop, participants will receive a practical guide to perform fire plan reviews and inspections, enabling them to enforce safety and success within their jurisdictions.
